Overview

Forest School woodland trails.

Challenge

Forest school Curious By Nature use the Beckton Woods area for their meetings and bushcraft. However the area is little used and has historically been an area for littering, flytipping and antisocial behaviour.

Solution

I took a few days to photograph and map the are including the forest school meeting areas. I shared initial sketches with Curious by Nature to ask the group for their memories and favourite spots in the woodland. I added these to the map, and selected four stops for interpretative signage about the local wildlife.

Outcome

The maps were handed out initially to the forest school friend and family, and then a reprint was made to hand out to more community groups in the area.
